While Maker Month has come and gone, our mission of empowering makers and tradespeople around the world continues!
Our long-term goal is to inspire 10 million individuals by 2030 through upskilling, promoting vocational and skills training, fostering Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) education and providing access to Makerspaces.
We’re shining a light on the trade skills gap. The fact that there are an estimated 10 million unfilled manufacturing jobs is one of the biggest issues facing the workforce today.
"To help solve for the vast skills gap today, an issue made worse by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, businesses need to showcase and celebrate the wide variety of opportunities people can pursue across the skilled trades. Maker Month is our contribution to this effort, helping to highlight the vast potential these careers offer."
