CORLISS MONTESI is Vice President, Corporate Controller, at Stanley Black & Decker.  Corliss leads a global organization in all aspects of accounting, controls and trade compliance in our businesses.

Corliss joined Stanley Black & Decker in 2014 from United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where she held various roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Sikorsky Aerospace Services, Vice President, Controller at both Sikorsky Aircraft and Pratt & Whitney, and Global Director, UTC Internal Audit.

Prior to joining UTC, Corliss was a Project Manager at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, spending much of her time on issues associated with financial instruments, derivatives and hedging. She started her career as an Audit Associate at Deloitte & Touche.

Corliss holds a bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, a master’s of Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport and is a certified public accountant. She is a Board Member of the American Heart Association of Connecticut and serves on the Advisory Council of the Connecticut Society of CPAs. Corliss also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Cabinet for the UConn School of Business, Advisory Council for the UConn Accounting Department, and has been recognized as a member of the UConn School of Business Hall of Fame.
