Corliss J. Montesi
CORLISS MONTESI is Vice President, Functional Transformation – Shared Services at Stanley Black & Decker. Corliss leads a global organization across multiple centers in providing operational business support for finance and accounting. She is focused on transforming operations to drive value and scale through centralization, complexity reduction, enhanced productivity and technology in support of the company’s growth.
Corliss joined Stanley Black & Decker in 2014 from United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where she held various roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Sikorsky Aerospace Services, Vice President, Controller at both Sikorsky Aircraft and Pratt & Whitney, and Global Director, UTC Internal Audit. Prior to joining UTC, Corliss was a Project Manager at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, spending much of her time on issues associated with financial instruments, derivatives and hedging. She started her career as an Audit Associate at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.
Corliss holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut (UConn), a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport and is a certified public accountant. She chairs the Board of the American Heart Association of Connecticut and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Cabinet for the UConn School of Business. She is a member of the UConn School of Business Hall of Fame.
