Michael Wherley

Michael Wherley serves as Vice President of Investor Relations at Stanley Black & Decker. In this capacity, Michael leads the Company’s engagement with the global investor and analyst communities, effectively communicating Stanley Black & Decker’s strategic vision and financial performance.

Michael joined Stanley Black & Decker in September 2025, bringing a decade of investor relations expertise, plus six years as an equity analyst. His career includes leading investor relations for both privately held Nouryon and publicly traded FMC Corporation, where he was recognized for fostering transparent dialogue and strengthening stakeholder relationships. In addition to his investor relations experience, Michael has held roles in finance and marketing, further broadening his business acumen.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford.
