As part of the Sales & Marketing Development Program, you’ll be part of a 100-member team (and hundreds of alumni) that stretches across our Global Tools & Storage organization. You’ll engage with your team through events, training and community outreach, building a professional and personal network.

GETTING
STARTED

Our Sales and Marketing Development Program (SMDP) offers a unique and robust start to your career. For the first 18 months, you’ll work as a Stanley Black & Decker Sales Representative supporting one of our largest retail customers – The Home Depot or Lowe’s. You’ll develop your selling skills, gain product knowledge, build relationships with key decision-makers and implement corporate marketing strategies.

You’ll grow professionally and personally through an extensive three-phase training program which is inclusive of on the job training, instructor-led training and e-learning through our online University. SMDP is a nationwide sales program providing the opportunity to relocate within the United States, working in a field-based sales position with a home office.

 

ADVANCED LEARNING

This is not a traditional rotational program. We realize you have a unique career path based on your personal interests, skills and abilities. After your sales representative role, you choose your second rotation or learning track in the program. We encourage program participants to tackle roles within all functions throughout their career, rounding out your experiences and helping you lead for success in the future.
