In innovative hubs around the world where commercial, startup and academic resources are concentrated, our businesses have launched offsite breakthrough innovation centers dedicated to developing game-changing solutions, each with long-term potential to generate annual revenue in excess of $100 million.

The breakthrough teams within Tools, Outdoor, Engineered Fastening and Aerospace Manufacturing pursue ideas on their own, but also collaborate. A centralized breakthrough team serves as a shared resource to coordinate efforts, drive internal initiatives and explore ideas that cross over our traditional businesses.

Customers and end-users are at the center of our growth strategy. Through regular collaborations with professional end-users, we gain a better understanding of their evolving expectations around safety, productivity and sustainability. By creating cordless electric solutions and specific product lines, such as the DEWALT PERFORM & PROTECT™ lineup — designed for optimal tool control, dust mitigation and vibration reduction — we’re addressing these demands and solving issues the pros face on the jobsite.

In January 2024, we hosted customers at our annual leadership meeting, where they highlighted the importance of their suppliers' sustainable practices, specifically issues related to decarbonization and recyclable packaging. We report our progress to our customers throughout the year and regularly solicit their feedback.
