Subject to the California Electronic Waste Recycling Act (the “Act”), amended by California Senate Bill 1215, effective January 1, 2026, certain electronic products manufactured by Stanley Black & Decker and Stanley Industrial & Automotive, LLC, through its Mac Tools Division’s (collectively, “Stanley Black & Decker”), sold by retailers in California are required to include a Covered Battery-Embedded Product Recycling Fee. The Act provides a comprehensive system for the reuse, recycling, and disposal of covered electronic devices. Retailers are responsible for collecting the waste recycling fee at time of sale for covered battery-embedded products sold to consumers in California.
