Women in Leadership
Equality for Everyone

Together We
Are More

Diversity and inclusion are essential for fulfilling our purpose to honor, support and advance those who make the world. That’s why we are working to create a culture of equality that unlocks human potential and creates a workplace where everyone can advance and thrive, including initiatives focused on female empowerment.

There are active steps underway to advance women throughout Stanley Black & Decker which includes ensuring women have sponsors and mentors, mitigating bias in hiring processes and working towards employees having access to female leaders and role models.

To accelerate our efforts, here are a few of the bold steps we’re taking:

“If we don’t have the voices of women at the table, if we don’t have their unique experiences and perspectives, then we are missing out on critical talent.”

ACHIEVING TOGETHER

We have nine employee resource groups with 90+ local chapters across the globe that support one another and encourage employees to raise important issues and drive change.

Our global Women’s Network helps empower women to advance their careers, achieve leadership positions and access resources for professional development. They are also engaged with executive sponsors, members, allies and external partners to ensure a deep sense of pride, passion and belonging in our culture, career development, community engagement and commercial innovation.

OUR PARTNERSHIPS

To bolster our efforts, we partner with organizations, individuals and teams who drive positive change and make a true difference in the world. We also make it our mission to do business with diverse suppliers including minorities, women, LGBT and people with disabilities-owned businesses.

We take pride in the progress we’ve made in creating an environment where all employees fell welcomed, valued and able to build successful careers, knowing we still have ambitious work to do.
