SUPPORTING A DIVERSE SUPPLY BASE
There are many approaches to establishing a diverse supply base for our company. Some of our businesses require large, global companies for national or worldwide deals. Other times we leverage small, nimble local vendors that can meet our unique needs.
GENERAL VENDOR REQUIREMENTS
Stanley Black & Decker has a comprehensive supplier sustainability and social accountability assessment process. We use this to help our suppliers understand our sustainability and social accountability roles, conducting audits and providing feedback identifying opportunities for improvement that help our suppliers and our company improve their overall environmental performance. Learn more about this process.
Vendors must go through a certification process by a third-party agency to confirm eligibility for diversity certification. They also need to:
- Demonstrate sales volume, profitability, and financial stability in the past three years
- Deliver a comprehensive product or service.
- Have a presence in our key markets in the U.S.
- Possess a skilled management team with experience delivering to the media/entertainment/theme parks industry
Take a look at your company’s product and service offerings and determine if you are most competitive at the local, regional, national or global level. Then prepare a business solution and value-add that uniquely qualifies your organization to do business with us. What does your company do or have that we can't live without?
LET US KNOW WHO YOU ARE
To be included in our sourcing events, please email Supplier_Diversity@sbdinc.com a detailed and current profile, capabilities statement and list of current customers. When there is a need that matches your commodity, the Supplier Diversity team will contact you directly. Please ensure the contact information you provide is correct.
