Christopher Bell will drive the No. 20 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series (NSC), and Adam Stevens will continue as the crew chief for the second year in a row.
Christopher enjoyed his best season in 2021, earning four top-five finishes, nine top-10 finishes, three poles and an average finish of 15th. Despite the challenges the 2020 season presented due to a worldwide pandemic, Bell made the most of his rookie year in the Cup Series, improving throughout the season. Bell earned two top-five and seven top-10 finishes. In 2019, Bell competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) for JGR and earned a series-high eight wins, led 2,005 laps, earned six pole awards and racked up 20 top-five finishes and 21 top-10 finishes. The 2018 NXS season was Bell’s first full year competing in the series. Bell found his way to victory lane seven times in 2018, setting the win record by a rookie. In addition to the record seven wins, Bell started from the pole position five times and earned 10 top-five and 18 top-10 finishes. Bell captured the 2017 NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series Championship in his second full-time season.
In 2021 and 2022, Christopher Bell donated his time and talent to raise funds and awareness by promoting and participating in Racing for a Miracle on behalf of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Culminating the 2022 event on July 31 was Christopher behind the wheel of the No. 20 CRAFTSMAN Ace Foundation/CMN Hospitals Toyota Camry at the Indianapolis NASCAR Cup Race.
