Susannah works in our Breakthrough Innovation center, where her job is to commercialize disruptive innovation.
"What that means is no one day is the same as the next," she said. "And creativity is not just encouraged, it's required. I thrive in this fast-paced environment, where I am empowered to make decisions and can see the impact of my work, and that’s what I’ve found at Stanley Black & Decker."
Susannah said she succeeds in her work environment, surrounded by driven and smart colleagues who push her to learn and work harder.
"I’m so motivated by the opportunities to make a genuine impact with my team, our business and our customers," she said. "Collaboration is so important to me, incredibly valued here and one of the reasons I love working at Stanley Black & Decker."
Susannah also serves as a company wellness champion, a role she took on after breaking her leg playing soccer in 2016. The injury took more than six months to mend, and required weeks of physical therapy. But her work paid off, and she eventually completed a 10K race in Maine. She said her transformation mirrors the growth taking place in our company.
"I love working for a company that actively drives transformation at every level," Susannah said. "With a clear purpose to innovate, I feel very fortunate to work on projects that apply cutting-edge technology to real-world problems."
