Shane M. O’Kelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Advance Auto Parts, Inc., has been a director of the Company since January 2026. Shane brings experience in driving organic growth alongside inorganic growth, with high proficiency in go-to-market sales and operations – especially in supply chain, logistics and distribution. Throughout his career, Shane has cultivated an understanding of the channel and customer/retailer mindset and brings a deep knowledge of consumer products, consumer needs, and effective market strategies to the Board.
Shane has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Advance Auto Parts, Inc., since September 2023. Previously, Mr. O’Kelly served as Chief Executive Officer of HD Supply, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Home Depot, Inc., from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, Shane served as Chief Executive Officer Interline Brands, which subsequently became The Home Depot Pro in 2019.
Prior to joining affiliates of The Home Depot, Inc., Shane held the position of Chief Executive Officer of PetroChoice Holdings, Inc. from 2011 to 2018 and was President and Chief Executive Officer of A.H. Harris & Sons, Inc. from 2008 to 2011. From 1997 to 2008, Shane held roles of increasing responsibility at The Home Depot, Inc. and McKinsey and Company, Inc.
Shane served seven years as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army from 1990 to 1997. During his service, he graduated from both Airborne and Ranger schools and was a rifle platoon leader and company commander.
Shane holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in mathematical economics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Shane is 57 years old and is a member of the Compensation and Talent Development Committee and the Corporate Governance Committee.
