This collaboration allowed us to leverage DGP’s expertise in sustainable technologies to help ensure our product meets and exceeds industry standards while also leveraging the full strength of Stanley Black & Decker’s product, marketing and commercialization teams. Our shared commitment to environmental stewardship drove this innovation, focusing on creating a product that provides exceptional quality and effectiveness while reducing pollution. Utilizing cutting-edge research and carefully selected materials, this bio oil represents a significant advancement in reducing reliance on petroleum-based products.  

Traditional chainsaw lubricants are made from petroleum-based fossil fuels, posing significant environmental risks due to their contribution to pollution and reliance on non-renewable resources. However, our biodegradable oil uses soy — a rapidly renewable resource that breaks down more quickly and naturally, reducing the ecological footprint. To ensure our bio-based oil reflects our high standards, we rigorously test it against other bio-based and petroleum-based formulations, evaluating its lubrication capabilities, biodegradability and environmental impact. Our commitment extends to ensuring that the product remains robust under various operating conditions, providing a dependable performance that DEWALT is known for while keeping ecological sustainability standards in mind.  

Compatible with gas and battery-operated saws, this oil is formulated to maximize bar and chain life. Tested on thousands of cuts, its high viscosity is designed to reduce wear and tear on a chainsaw’s moving parts, providing a consistent performance over time.
