GENERAL VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

We have a comprehensive supplier sustainability and social accountability assessment processes – to help our suppliers understand our sustainability and social accountability roles, conducting audits and providing feedback identifying opportunities for improvement, that help our suppliers and our company improve their overall environmental performance.

Diverse vendors must go through a certification process by a third-party agency to confirm eligibility for diversity certification. They also need to:

  • Demonstrate sales volume, profitability and financial stability in the past three years
  • Deliver a comprehensive product or service
  • Have a presence in our key markets in the U.S.
  • Possess a skilled management team

Get Certified

Multiple nonprofit and governmental agencies offer diverse business certifications. The agencies listed below are preferred.
 

Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE)

A business that is (1) at least 51 percent owned by one or more persons with a disability or, in the case of a publicly owned business, at least 51 percent of the shares must be owned by one or more persons with a disability, and (2) whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more persons with a disability. A disability refers to a physical and/or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. Please refer to Disability:IN for additional detail regarding qualifying disabilities.

A minority group member includes any of the following racial or ethnic groups: Asian, Black, Hispanic or Native American.
