Ryan fell in love with computers at age 11, and began his business career when he was only 15. By the time he was 17 he was an apprentice at Stanley Black & Decker, where he created a cutting-edge digital solution to meet the needs of our Warrington Operations business in England.
"Every day is a new challenge, a new problem to overcome," he said. "I handle everything thrown my way with a nothing-is-impossible attitude. And what I love about working here is there are always new challenges!"
Ryan’s initial project consisted of a training and succession planning software application. Once he completed that, he took on the bigger challenge of creating applications for other business areas, which eventually led the creation of the Digital Control Room, a SmartFactory capability that has transformed the Warrington operation.
"Working in IT at Stanley Black & Decker isn’t just a job or a way to pay the bills for me. It’s a passion because this is a place where we continually push the boundaries of digital innovation and drive forward in this ever-changing world of technology."
