Talent Acquisition Manager
Edwin came to Stanley Black & Decker after retiring from the Army, where he held a variety of positions from senior logistician to divisional staff program manager to a first sergeant. He also served as a U.S. Paratrooper (a passion he still has today, jumping from 15,000 feet at least a few times each year).
He wasn’t planning to stay at this company for long.
"After a career in uniform, I was not planning to be at my next job as long. I looked at it as just a transition," he said. "But I feel blessed to work here. I not only get to work with some of the best people in this organization, I get to drive initiatives to help veterans and their families. That’s made me want to stay on longer with this great company."
In his current role, Edwin supports recruitment efforts within our Global Tools & Storage group, the largest organization in the company, based in Towson, Maryland.
"I believe so firmly that people are the bloodline and backbone to any great organization," he said. "Without the brightest, motivated and agile workforce, our company cannot succeed. I love that it is my job is to bring in the best talent and help propel us to continue to be innovative and strategic.
"At the end of the day, our products are an incredible output of the hard work, collaboration and resilience of the people who work here," he said. "And I love that in 175 years, this company has never lost its path. We’re a global innovator and industrial leader still looking to go above that and make a larger impact on society and the world."
