Lean Productivity Engineer, GTS
Tenure at Stanley Black & Decker: 2.5 Years
Describe your SLP experience in one word.
What is your lasting impression of being an SLP?
I think the relationships I was able to build in just 2 years is what I cherish most. Not only with my fellow SLPs, but with the people I worked with at my various rotations across the country. Every person I met was an opportunity to learn something new!
What is one interesting fact about Stanley Black & Decker that people might not know?
We have over 50 manufacturing & distribution facilities across the United States.
What was the highlight of your SLP experience?
Being a part of the GTS Lighthouse Factory project in Jackson, TN. I gained exposure to a lot of new Industry 4.0 and IOT technologies, it was a really fun project.
What is your advice for future SLPs?
It can be daunting at times not knowing where or what your next role may be, but don't be afraid of the unknown! Our company is changing and growing so rapidly that some of your future projects may not even exist yet when you first enter the program. Embrace the journey and the right roles will come!
How does the SLP Purpose, FOR THOSE WHO MAKE THE WORLD EMPOWERED TO SUCCEED THROUGH LEADERSHIP, speak to you?
For me, our SLP purpose is about leading by example. If you walk the talk, then people will want to follow you.
