Leadership Program Alumni - Nolan Kopplin

Nolan Kopplin
Commercial Finance Sr. Analyst, Electronic Security
Indiana, U.S.A

"Being a global company with multiple businesses, the sky is the limit with what you are able to do and where you are able to do it."

Nolan is currently a commercial finance senior analyst within our global Electronic Security business – but it’s not where he started. Instead, Nolan first came through the doors of Stanley Black & Decker as an intern.

He recognized even then the advantages of working for multi-billion-dollar company with offices around the globe.

“Opportunities are everywhere for those willing to seize it.”

Nolan did seize those opportunities as he moved from intern into the Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Program (SLP), where he had roles that included stints with Commercial Controllership, FP&A, Cost Controllership, and Commercial Finance.

It was the Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Program, Nolan says, that gave him the skills he needed to grow and succeed in the business world. “I was able to see firsthand the soft skills required to perform in a business environment as well as be able to develop real solutions to issues,” he said. “I was even able to help build a KPI dashboard that is still in use today. My career has been exciting this far and I expect that to continue. As a person, I thrive on new opportunity and learning and with Stanley Black & Decker I’ve been able to pursue those things.”
