FOR THOSE WHO MAKE THE WORLD™ BETTER
Stanley Black & Decker is proud to announce that we have been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by The Hartford Courant, and that our President & CEO Jim Loree won the Leadership Award for the Large Employers’ category.
The Top Workplaces lists are based on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.
“To be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together.”
“Senior leadership commitment to diversity allows many people with different approaches and different methods to be successful at their work,” said one employee response.
“This award is a testament to our hard-working and dedicated employees,” said Tim Perra, Vice President, Public Affairs for Stanley Black & Decker.
Stanley Black & Decker performed exceptionally well in the area of Alignment. We are proud to say that our employees “believe the organization is going in the right direction” and feel as though the company “operates by strong values and ethics.” Other company strengths included Open-Mindedness, Values & Ethics, and New Ideas.
“This award is a testament to our hard-working and dedicated employees,” said Tim Perra, Vice President, Public Affairs for Stanley Black & Decker. “It is fantastic to see that they enjoy working in our fast-paced and diverse atmosphere, and I am particularly proud to see they believe the Company is headed in a positive direction.”
