Portrait of Nathan D.

Nate joined the company in 2014 as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer.

He most recently moved into our Industry 4.0 team where he is helping to deploy new technology – like robotics, digital manufacturing and 3D printing – within our North American manufacturing plants.

Nate says coming to Stanley Black & Decker was a life-changing experience.

“It has rapidly grown my career and provided me with experiences not often found in companies of this size.” What’s more, Nate adds, “I have been able to work with frontline operators in the plants as well as sit in meetings with the president of the company, and all levels in between. Prior to coming here, I had only been promoted one time in my 15-year career. In the past four years, I have been promoted twice and am now in a corporate role that I would have never even thought about with previous employers!”

Nate says he sees firsthand the difference that Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing is making in our plants.

“We are introducing new technologies into our manufacturing operations that are helping to remove pain points that have existed for a long time. The excitement of the teams I work with at the plant operations level is contagious and very energizing. I love my job at STANLEY Engineered Fastening, and this is the first place I have worked where I have been able to say that.”
