STEVEN STAFSTROM is Senior Vice President of Operations for the Global Tools & Storage and Global Emerging Markets businesses. In this capacity, Steve oversees a network of manufacturing plants and distribution centers focused on bringing ever increasing value to our end-users, customers and shareholders.

Steve joined Stanley Black & Decker in 1998. Since then, he has led the Global Tools & Storage business to achieve unprecedented success by instilling an SFS (Stanley Fulfillment System) culture of waste elimination and continuous improvement, enabling and supporting accelerated growth. Steve’s leadership has resulted in significant improvements in working capital, global fill rates, and environmental health & safety.  In 2012, Steve was elected an Executive Officer of the corporation.

Steve began his career with Textron, where he held roles of consistently increasing responsibility in the precision ball bearing and gas turbine engine business.

Steven received dual degrees after successfully completing a three-two engineering program, three years at a liberal arts college and two years at an engineering college. He holds a B.A. from St. Anselm College and a BSEE from the University of Notre Dame.
