Supporting Habitat for Humanity’s 2017 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project

Habitat for Humanity’s 34th Annual Carter Work Project

FOR THOSE WHO MAKE THE WORLD BETTER

Stanley Black & Decker proudly partnered with Habitat for Humanity in their annual home building blitz. The 34th Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project built 150 homes throughout Canada to commemorate the country’s 150th anniversary.

U.S. President Jimmy Carter continues to be an advocate and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

Former U.S. President and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn worked alongside thousands of volunteers in a concerted effort to provide affordable housing for communities in Edmonton, Winnipeg, and other locations across Canada. Since 1984, President and Mrs. Carter have traveled the world with Habitat to build homes and improve lives. Their time and effort helps to raise awareness of the critical need for affordable home ownership around the world. They have inspired millions over the last three decades and have worked alongside more than 100,000 volunteers in 14 countries to build, renovate and repair more than 4,000 homes.

Thank you to our employees for their time and commitment to this meaningful project.

Stanley Black & Decker equipped all volunteers with the STANLEY and DEWALT tools needed to complete these home builds. With nearly $200,000 worth of donated tools used by thousands of volunteers, we know these homes were built to last.

150 homes were built throughout Canada, ensuring 150 families have a safe place to live.

A special thank you to our Canadian associates who volunteered their time and effort to this project. Together, with Habitat for Humanity, we’re helping to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
